Update Automatic Payments and Deposits

Membership Number

Your new Member numberhas a total of 8 digits. To determine your new CU SoCal Member/Account number, start with 5 and add zeros between the five (5) and your existing PICU Member number to equal 8 digits.

For example:
Your PICU Member/Account Number is: 1234
Your new CU SoCal Account number is: 50001234
 
Your PICU Member/Account Number is: 123456
Your new CU SoCal Account number is: 50123456

Debit Cards

Please activate and begin using your new CU SoCal Visa® Debit Card on May 1, 2023. Please provide your new card information to companies that automatically bill your card and online retailers.

Credit Cards

Make a Payment on Your New CU SoCal Topaz Credit Card:

  • Mail your payments to: CU SoCal, P.O. Box 37035, Boone, IA 50037-0035
  • Login to Online or Mobile Banking
  • Contact us at 866.287.6225

To select a PIN for your CU SoCal Credit Card, please call 888.891.2435. You will need to re-establish auto pay for your CU SoCal Topaz Credit Card.

Online and Mobile Banking

​Please enroll in CU SoCal’s free Online and Mobile Banking.

To enroll in Online and Mobile Banking, you will need your new CU SoCal Member number, birthdate, and Social Security Number. Your April eStatement will be available in Online and Mobile Banking as soon as May 1, 2023. Unfortunately, you will not be able to view any past transactions.
 
To use Mobile Banking, download CU SoCal’s Mobile Banking App for your Apple or Android device. You will need to enroll in Mobile Check Deposit and Zelle® before using these services. Please reference CUSoCal.org/Access/DigitalBanking which features an overview of the CU SoCal’s Online and Mobile Banking services.

Statements

All PICU Members received a paper statement for the period ending April 30, 2023, including those who were enrolled in PICU eStatements. Due to regulatory requirements, you must re-enroll to continue receiving eStatements. Select View Documents within Online or Mobile Banking to enroll in eStatements. 

CU SoCal charges a standard paper statement fee of $2; however, this fee will be waived through August 31, 2023. Beginning September 1, 2023, the standard $2 fee may be applied to your account.  Please review the Schedule of Fees to learn how the fee may be waived.

Bill Pay

Existing and new PICU Bill Pay users will need to enroll in CU SoCal’s free Online Banking to use Bill Pay and reenter payments. Simply follow the steps within Online or Mobile Banking to start using Bill Pay. All previously scheduled and recurring payments will need to be setup in CU SoCal’s Bill Pay. Bill Pay can be found in the Transfer and Pay section in Online and Mobile Banking.

Branches and ATMs

You now have full access to 18 additional CU SoCal branches and more than 5,600 shared branches throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and military bases around the globe, as well as more than 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs. Click here to find your nearest Branch or ATM.

Checking

Checking account holders will receive a free box of CU SoCal checks by June 15, 2023. Please start using your new checks upon receipt. Your PICU checks will continue to clear until October 31, 2023.

Person to Person (P2P) Transfers

CU SoCal offers Zelle® for all P2P transfers. Please read and accept the Zelle® Network Terms and Conditions located within the Transfer and Pay section of Mobile Banking to get started.

Overdraft Protection and Courtesy Pay

Overdrafts from your savings and checking will continue in the order you have designated.

CU SoCal offers Courtesy Pay as an option to cover transactions when you may not have funds available. You may authorize CU SoCal to pay, rather than return, non-sufficient fund transactions on your everyday debit and ATM card transactions for a fee. See the Overdraft Authorization Form for additional information.

Change in Terms and Fee Schedule

Starting May 1, your credit union Membership account terms and schedule of fees will change. Please review the Schedule of Fees and About Your Accounts for more information.

Internal Account-to-Account and Account-to-Loan Transfers

Your internal share and loan transfers will continue as previously scheduled. External Transfers and Transfers scheduled within Bill Pay will need to be re-established after May 1, 2023. Please see the “Bill Pay” section above for additional details.

Direct Deposits and Automatic Payments

Direct deposits and automatic payments (such as your payroll, Social Security, and gym membership fees) will continue without interruption until October 31. However, you will be required to update your credit union account numbers and routing number before that time. Please update these accounts using CU SoCal’s routing number and your new Member number.
 
Update account information with Social Security by calling 1.800.772.1213, or by visiting www.ssa.gov. To make the update, you will need your PICU account and routing number, as well as your new CU SoCal account and routing number. If you would like assistance, please let us know. Please note: automatic payments setup using your PICU debit card will need to be updated using your new CU SoCal Debit Card. Your new account number and routing number can be found in the Setup Direct Deposit widget in CU SoCal’s Online and Mobile Banking.
