According to Forbes, 87% of teens say they don't really understand their personal finances (2022), and 54% of teens are worried about their financial futures (2022 Junior Achievement Teens & Personal Finance Survey). With CU F.L.Y., students are empowered to master financial literacy and equip themselves with knowledge to navigate their financial future with confidence.   • 1. CU F.L.Y. is open to high school students within CU SoCal’s field of Membership. Interested students can visit CUSoCal.org/CUFLY for complete details. The $100 cash incentive can change at any time and is valid only for eligible high school students who complete the program requirements. A $10 minimum opening deposit is required to open a CU SoCal Savings Account. Additional account fees may apply. Please review our Schedule of Fees for complete details at CUSoCal.org/Disclosures. Proof of completed educational modules and participation in the Bite of Reality event must be presented when opening a CU SoCal Checking Account. The cash bonus will be deposited into the Member’s CU SoCal account in two payments: an initial $50 upon opening the account, and a final $50 after 30 days. Participants must complete the program requirements within 60 days of attending Bite of Reality to qualify for the cash incentive. All new accounts will be verified by ChexSystems® and are subject to approval and Membership eligibility.
