USA Patriot Act Notice

Important Information about Procedures for Opening a New Account. To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account we will ask for your name, street address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
    1. APY=Annual Percentage Yield. The annual percentage yield assumes that dividends will remain on deposit until maturity. If you make a withdrawal from your account, your earnings will be reduced. Minimum deposit to open is $1,000. Must be a CU SoCal Member. All accounts will be verified by ChexSystems® and are subject to approval and Membership eligibility. New Member maximum online opening deposit is up to $7,000. Deposits cannot originate from a CU SoCal account. Deposits made to the promotional certificate through electronic transfers (ACH) originating from CU SoCal will not be available for withdrawal for 60 days from the date of deposit. We may impose a 60-day penalty if you withdraw the principal from your certificate account before the maturity date. The penalty imposed shall be based on the amount withdrawn. If the amount withdrawn reduces the principal balance below the stated minimum during the term, you will be assessed a penalty on the entire principal balance, and we will close the certificate account and transfer any remaining balance to your Regular Savings Account. Your certificate will automatically renew to a 6-month certificate term at maturity. The maturity date will be stated on the certificate or receipt provided to you at the time of opening your account. The renewal dividend rate and annual percentage (APY) will be determined based on the overall relationship you have with CU SoCal at the time of renewal. A “relationship” with CU SoCal includes maintaining qualifying accounts or balances unless you withdraw all the funds in your account at maturity or within a grace period of 7 days after maturity. Visit CUSoCal.org/Rates for more information. Promotional rate of 6.78% APR is effective April 3, 2025, and is subject to change without notice.
