Protecting our Members’ privacy is very important to us. That’s why we have always maintained a strict confidentiality policy to protect not only your financial assets, but your personal information as well.

CU SoCal’s Website Policy
CU SoCal respects your right to privacy. When you visit our website, you may be providing information to CU SoCal on two different levels: anonymous statistics collected as you browse the site and personal information you knowingly give us.
CU SoCal would like to assure you that we do not:
- Collect personal information from you unless you provide it to us, or
- Sell the names and addresses of our Members and site users to outside parties.
CU SoCal does:
- Safeguard Members’ and site users’ information from unauthorized access, and
- Maintain the confidentiality of Member information that you provide to us.
- How many people visit our site
- Which domains our visitors come from (such as “google.com”)
- Which browsers people use to visit our site
While we gather this information, none of it is associated with you as an individual. We use these statistics to monitor the performance of our web site and to make it easier for you and other visitors to use. At this time, CUSoCal.org does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals in browsers because it doesn’t track individual users.
Through event registration forms, feedback forms, and contact us forms, we collect your name and the preferred contact information you provide us within Formstack, a secure, encrypted online form creation company. Within our online Membership application and CU Online Home Banking, you may be asked to give us personal information in order to apply for Membership, a loan, or other services. Our application forms securely collect personal and financial information. The information that we collect on our applications is used only to process your request quickly and accurately. When you submit an application, your personal and financial information is encrypted. To confirm that your application form is secure, look for the image of a lock or key near the address bar of your browser window. If the lock is closed or the key appears whole, then you are viewing a secure page. Otherwise, the lock may appear as open or the key may appear as broken indicating that the page in not secure.
CU SoCal’s website is hosted on the secure servers of our web developer, Trabian, and CU SoCal’s mortgage loan website is hosted on the secure servers of our mortgage loan application partners, Encompass and CU Members Mortgage. You can access other websites from links on www.CUSoCal.org. If you link to another website from any of our pages, you are leaving CU SoCal’s secure website and are linking to a website not operated by CU SoCal. We cannot be held responsible for the content of the alternate website, nor do we represent either the third party or the Member if the two enter into a transaction. An alternate website’s privacy and security policies may differ from those of CU SoCal’s. Therefore, we encourage you to read the policies of the websites reached through the use of links from the credit union website.
CU SoCal does not knowingly collect, maintain or use personal information from our website about children under age 13. If a child whom we know to be under age 13 sends personal information to us online, we will only use that information to respond directly to that child, notify parents, or seek parental consent.
Unauthorized access or use of the CU SoCal website is not permitted and may constitute a crime punishable by law.

Important Privacy Choices for Members
As a valued Member of Credit Union of Southern California (CU SoCal), respecting your privacy and the security of your personal information is very important to us. Please read this notice carefully. It is being provided to you as required by California law and is intended to advise you regarding the types of information we collect and how it is used.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU
To help us better serve your financial needs, we collect and use non-public information about you from the following sources:
• Information we receive from you on applications or other forms
• Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others
• Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies
We do not disclose any non-public information about our Members or former Members to anyone, except as permitted or required by law, or as otherwise specified in this notice.
USE OF INFORMATION
We may share information about you with non-affiliated third parties as permitted by law. These non-affiliated third parties may help us process your transactions, or provide services such as mailing your account statements. Types of non-affiliates we share your information with include:
• ATM networks
• Mortgage insurers
• Bill payment processors
• Credit reporting agencies
• Check printers
• Data processing companies
These third parties make written agreements with us that they will keep your information confidential and use it only to provide the services we request of them. You cannot opt out of this type of information sharing.
SHARING INFORMATION WITH JOINT MARKETING PARTNERS
We share personal, non-public information with Affinion Benefits Group to perform marketing services on our behalf. The purpose of sharing this information is to provide you with materials we consider to be of benefit. We do not provide any of your account details such as PINs, balances, or transaction records. Please note that Affinion Benefits Group adheres to strict confidentially requirements.
You have the right to opt out of information sharing with Affinion Benefits Group. Please see the section titled “Important Privacy Election: Your Opportunity to Opt Out” for information on how to exercise your opt out election.
IMPORTANT PRIVACY ELECTION: YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO OPT OUT
If you choose to opt out, we will not share any information with third parties where information disclosure is subject to opt out rights. Choosing to opt out of information sharing may limit your opportunities to receive product and service information that may interest you.
If you do opt out, we will process your request as quickly as possible. However, if marketing campaigns have already begun, you may receive offers four to six weeks from the date we receive your request.
We are required to send you an annual notice of your opt out rights. However, once we have your request on file, we will not change it unless you send us new instructions.
To opt out of information sharing with our joint marketing partners, please do one of the following:
1. Fill out, sign, and mail the Important Privacy Choices for California Consumers form to CU SoCal (you may want to make a copy for your records).
