Items to bring to appointment

Photo ID

You will need a current state or government-issued photo ID (State ID, Driver’s License, U.S. Passport, U.S Resident Card).

Proof of Residence

If address is not current on Government-Issued ID or is not listed, please provide one of the following: Current Lease or Mortgage Agreement, Auto/Home/Renter’s Insurance, DMV Registration, or Utility Bill (Internet, Cable, Gas, Electric or Water.)

Social Security

You will need a Social Security card or ITIN documents for the owner(s) of the account.

Funds

To open an account, you will need an initial deposit of $10.00 or more.

Paystub

You will need your paystub dated within the last 30 days.

Tax returns

If self-employed, you will need past two years of tax returns.

Proof of insurance

Your current proof of auto insurance, if applicable.

Current statement

You will need to bring a current credit card statement ONLY if you choose to do a balance transfer to your new CU SoCal credit card.

Wire instructions

Please bring the Wire Instructions to complete the transfer.

Documents to notarize

Please bring all documents needing notarization.

Other documents

Please bring any documents that may be needed for any questions or concerns.

Notes:

  • Your loan officer may require other documentation after the loan has been processed.
  • These three branches do not offer notary: El Monte, City of Industry, Anaheim.
  • Notary services are free for CU SoCal Members. There is a $15 fee for Shared Branch Members.
