    Update automatic payments and deposits

Important information about your accounts and services.

Your accounts have automatically transferred; however, some products and services will require additional set up. Important dates and information have been detailed below by product and service.

  • A new CU SoCal Visa® Debit Card will be mailed to you before July 1 for use starting on July 1. Continue using your FEWFCU Visa® Debit Card until 3 p.m. on June 30. At 3 p.m., FEWFCU cards will be deactivated and recurring payments scheduled will no longer post. Activate, select your PIN and begin using your new CU SoCal card starting at 6 a.m. on July 1. Remember to provide your new card information to companies that automatically bill your card and online retailers where you’ve saved your information.

     

    We apologize for the brief period of time you will not have card access between 3 P.M. on June 30 and 6 A.M. on July 1. Please plan accordingly.1.1

  • Continue using FEWFCU bill pay through June 23. On June 24, any payments (including recurring payments), will no longer be made. In addition, you will no longer have access to your current FEWFCU bill payment history. Please print your history from FEWFCUs’ online banking by June 23 for your records.1

     

    On July 1, existing and new Bill Pay users will need to enroll in CU SoCal’s free Online Banking to use Bill Pay and re-establish payees.

  • On July 1, you will have access to 19 CU SoCal branches, more than 5,000 shared branches throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and military bases around the globe, as well as nearly 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs.

    Or, access your CU SoCal accounts in-person at thousands of credit union branches nationwide through the CO-OP Shared Branch network—the nation’s third largest branch network. Find Branches & ATMs >

  • Starting July 1, your credit union Membership account terms and schedule of fees will change. Enclosed you will find information including a new Schedule of Fees and About Your Accounts brochure. Please review these pieces and retain them for your records.

  • Checking account users will receive a free box of CU SoCal corporate-image checks by August 15. Please start using your new checks upon receipt. Your FEWFCU checks will continue to clear until February 1, 2022.

  • Direct deposits and automatic payments (such as your payroll, Social Security, and gym membership fees) will continue without interruption until February 1, 2022. However, you will be required to update your credit union account numbers and routing and transit number before that time. On or after July 1, 2021, please update these accounts using CU SoCal’s routing and transit number and your new Member number. You will receive your new CU SoCal Member number shortly before July 1, 2021.

    Update account information with Social Security by calling 1.800.772.1213, or by visiting www.ssa.gov. To make the update, you will need your FEWFCU account and routing and transit numbers, as well as your new CU SoCal account and routing and transit numbers.   • CU SoCal offers you the option of receiving monthly statements electronically. Please refer to the Online Banking Step-By-Step Guide.

    CU SoCal charges a standard paper statement fee of $2; however, this fee will be waived through June 30, 2021. After June 30, the standard $2 fee may be applied to your account. Please view the Schedule of Fees to learn how the fee may be waived.

  • There will be no interruption to your Account-to-Account and Account-to-Loan transfers.

  • There will be no changes to your loan terms or rates. You may continue to use your FEWFCU credit card at this time. Users will be personally notified when a change is required.

  • A prefix of 0023 will be added to your existing Member number to make your new CU SoCal Member number. Your new Membership number will be provided to you before July 1.

  • Your FEWFCU Online Banking will no longer be available after 3 p.m. on June 30. Please enroll in CU SoCal’s free Online Banking as early as July 1. For your reference, please review our Online Banking Guide to help you set up your CU SoCal Online Banking service.

    Download CU SoCal’s Mobile Banking app for your Apple or Android device after you have enrolled in CU SoCal’s Online Banking.

  • Overdrafts linked to your savings and lines of credit will continue in the order you designated.

    If you have opted in to FEWFCU’s Courtesy Pay program to authorize the credit union to pay, rather than return, non-sufficient fund transactions on your everyday debit card transactions, this service will automatically continue as CU SoCal Courtesy Pay. You will also gain CU SoCal Courtesy Pay on your CU SoCal savings accounts. See our Courtesy Pay brochure and Schedule of Fees for additional information. Fill out the Courtesy Pay Authorization form to sign up for Courtesy Pay. Once complete, bring the form to any CU SoCal branch.

  • Your shares will continue to be protected by federal deposit insurance provided through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), a division of the National Credit Union Administration and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.
