Q: How do I sign up to begin using eStatements?
A: When you log on to CU OnLine, you’ll see a Tools and Resources section on the front page:

 1.  Click Sign up for eStatements.”

 2.  Enter and confirm your email address, and then click the button to accept terms and conditions after you’ve read them.  You’re signed up for eStatements!

Q: Why should I use eStatements?
A: eStatements are available on, or close to, the first of each month, so you don’t have to wait for them to arrive in the mail.  eStatements are also more secure than paper statements. You don’t have to worry about your financial information being stolen right out of your mailbox. Best of all, it’s free!

Q: What can I do within eStatements?
A: You have access to the same information as Members who receive their statements in the mail. View our quarterly Member newsletter, promotional inserts, and all your eStatements right from your computer! There’s also a link to take you back to the CU SoCal website.

Q: Once I’m signed up, how do I access my eStatements?
A: In CU OnLine, click Get eStatement,” located under the Tools and Resources section. Unviewed eStatements will be located on the right, and all previously-viewed eStatements are located on the left.

Q: eStatements are available during what hours?
A: Simply put, all of them. The convenience of eStatements is available to all Members, 24/7, for free. Access your account statements from home, work, while on the road, whenever and wherever it’s convenient for you.

Q: Can I print my eStatements?
A: Absolutely!

Q: How can I access eStatements if I don’t have a computer at home?
A: Each CU SoCal branch has a station available for Members to access their accounts and eStatements through CU OnLine.  You can also access eStatements wherever you have Internet access, such as a public library.

Q: How do I know when an eStatement is ready for viewing?
A: You’ll receive email notification that your statement is ready to view. Please note that CU SoCal will never send you an email with a link directing you to our site. This is not a secure way to make eStatements available to you. If you receive an email with a link, please contact us toll-free at 866 CU SoCal, 866.287.6225.

Q: Can the Joint Owner on the account use eStatements?
A: If the Joint Owner has access to the account through CU OnLine, they’re able to view eStatements.

Q: Is this service secure? Can anyone else access my statement information?
A:
CU SoCal takes your financial privacy and security very seriously.  All of your information is encrypted so it can’t be read by others.  You’ll notice a padlock in the lower right hand corner of the screen letting you know that the site is secure.

Q: Why do you need my email address?
A:
When your eStatement is ready to view, CU SoCal will send you notification via email.

Q: Do I need special software to access eStatements?
A:
In order to view your statements prior to 12/31/2002, Adobe Acrobat 5.0 reader or higher is required.  CU SoCal has a link set up to take you directly to the Adobe site to download Acrobat, and it’s free.

Q: Will I continue to get paper statements after signing up for eStatements?
A:
Once you sign up for eStatements, you’ll no longer receive your statements in the mail.

Q: Are eStatements available to our Members on the first of each month regardless of the email notification date?
A:
The eStatement notification email is generally sent to our Members within minutes of the statement’s availability.  CU SoCal strives to have eStatements available to Members as close to the first of the month as possible.  To this end, we do our best to minimize any potential issues that might delay eStatements.
