Privacy
Protecting our Members' privacy is very important to us. That's why
we have always maintained a strict confidentiality policy to protect not
only your financial assets, but your personal information as well.
This notice describes the privacy policy of Credit Union of Southern
California (CU SoCal).
- CU SoCal doesn't sell or give access to Member information to
unrelated outside parties for any reason, particularly for the purpose
of soliciting business from our Members.
- If CU SoCal needs to give information to vendors to provide
services a Member requests (such as printing statements, making ATM or
credit cards, printing checks, etc.), we take every effort to make
sure that the vendor keeps the information secure.
- CU SoCal controls physical access to areas of our building where
sensitive Member information is located and destroys printed documents
containing Member data.
- Periodically, CU SoCal sends marketing information to Members for
their potential benefit that may include our partners for things like
auto sales, insurance or loan promotions. However, Members can ask
that we block their names from such lists and we will gladly do so.
- Some Member information is required by law to be provided to
credit reporting bureaus and various government agencies. CU SoCal
must comply with all such legal requirements and Members cannot
opt-out of such reporting.
- Some information gathered by CU SoCal becomes available to the
public through such things as filing required government documents
like mortgage liens. Some companies use this data to send Members
offers and we cannot control this.
This list summarizes the way CU SoCal handles sensitive member data.
The following Privacy/Security Policy goes into more detail regarding
the protection of your privacy.
