Privacy

Protecting our Members' privacy is very important to us. That's why we have always maintained a strict confidentiality policy to protect not only your financial assets, but your personal information as well.

This notice describes the privacy policy of Credit Union of Southern California (CU SoCal).

  1. CU SoCal doesn't sell or give access to Member information to unrelated outside parties for any reason, particularly for the purpose of soliciting business from our Members.
  2. If CU SoCal needs to give information to vendors to provide services a Member requests (such as printing statements, making ATM or credit cards, printing checks, etc.), we take every effort to make sure that the vendor keeps the information secure.
  3. CU SoCal controls physical access to areas of our building where sensitive Member information is located and destroys printed documents containing Member data.
  4. Periodically, CU SoCal sends marketing information to Members for their potential benefit that may include our partners for things like auto sales, insurance or loan promotions. However, Members can ask that we block their names from such lists and we will gladly do so.
  5. Some Member information is required by law to be provided to credit reporting bureaus and various government agencies. CU SoCal must comply with all such legal requirements and Members cannot opt-out of such reporting.
  6. Some information gathered by CU SoCal becomes available to the public through such things as filing required government documents like mortgage liens. Some companies use this data to send Members offers and we cannot control this.

Online Services

CU SoCal doesn't gather user-specific information, details from your computer internet software or save data about you and your computer other than what's needed to authenticate Member access to our home banking product, CU OnLine™.

Our site uses browser cookies only after you have logged into CU OnLine™, to keep track of your transaction status and menu positions. We don't store cookies on your computer after you have logged out of the service and cookies are only used for tracking transactions while using our site. You must have cookies "enabled" on your browser to use CU OnLine™.

We don't share data collected from you, during your visit on our website, with third parties unless it's specifically required to process your transaction. Examples of this data sharing would be processing Membership and loan applications and our policy of running credit reports based upon the information Members provide. Credit reports are provided to CU SoCal by third parties we trust and with whom we have a business relationship.
