NEW FRAUD ALERT!
We have detected fraudulent cell phone text and email messages being sent
to CU SoCal Members. These messages did NOT come from CU SoCal.
IMPORTANT—Do NOT give out your personal information.
Members should never provide personal information such as passwords,
credit card numbers, social security numbers, PINs, or personal loan
information to a website or unfamiliar phone number. In addition, you
should never click directly on links in an email that request sensitive
information—even if you recognize and trust the website address. These
links can redirect you to a fake website (although it may look
trustworthy).
Remember:
- Never provide personal information in response to any
unsolicited request by email, letter, text message, or phone call.
- Beware of any unsolicited email, letter, text message, or phone call that
threatens to close or suspend your account(s).
If you are unsure if any message you receive is legitimate, please
contact CU SoCal directly for verification.
At CU SoCal, we're committed to reducing the risk associated with
fraudulent activity, and truly appreciate when Members bring all
questionable activity to our attention. Please know that we will
NEVER send you emails to ask for your personal financial information.
Along with the many safeguards we have in place to
protect your accounts, there are a number of things you can do to take
further steps against identity theft.
